Fantastic news on World Tiger Day

Tiger numbers in Nepal are up by a staggering 63%. World Wildlife Fund is celebrating the findings of the recent tiger census in Nepal which shows that there are now an estimated 198 tigers living in the Terai Arc region of Nepal – up from an estimated 121 when the survey was last done in 2009!

Positive news, but there’s still got a long way to go to reach the WWF target of doubling the number of wild tigers around the world.
